Joan Radford, LCSW

Starting therapy takes courage, and I’m honored to support my clients on their healing journey. Trauma can impact many areas of life, often leading to depression, anxiety, personality disorders, substance use, interpersonal conflict, and relationship struggles. Using a warm, patient-centered, and trauma-informed approach, I create a safe space where clients can process their experiences, build healthier relationships, and move forward with confidence.

I believe that a strong, trusting relationship between therapist and client is the key to successful therapy. My goal is to create a warm, supportive space where you feel comfortable being your true self. I bring humor, honesty, and authenticity into each session, helping you feel heard, understood, and empowered to make the changes you want in your life.

I work with teens and adults who are navigating trauma, depression, anxiety, conflict, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I am fully trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), an effective, eye-movement-based approach that helps process distressing memories and emotions quickly. I have also completed Level 1 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, which provides research-backed tools to help couples build stronger, healthier relationships.

With five years of clinical experience, I blend ART, Gestalt, and person-centered therapy techniques to create a personalized approach that fits your unique needs. Whether you're an individual seeking healing or a couple working to strengthen your relationship, I am here to support your growth, resilience, and well-being every step of the way.
