Carol Garner, LPC
Carol is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She works with a wide range of clients, including children and families. She incorporates Child-Centered Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to support clients, including individuals with autism and ADHD.
Carol's philosophy as a Licensed Professional Counselor emphasizes the inherent potential within every individual, recognizing that everyone faces challenges--whether as a child, adolescent, or adult. She understands that these challenges can be particularly pronounced in the lives of children and teenagers, who are navigating their own developmental struggles, identity formation, and the pressures of growing up. Parenting also comes with its own set of difficulties, and Carol is committed to supporting both parents and children as they work through these transitions together. By collaborating with her clients, Carol helps them identify their strengths and resilience, enabling them to better cope with the complexities of their lives. Her approach is grounded in compassion--cultivating self-compassion in her clients, as well as empathy for the struggles others face. She strives to create a safe, nonjudgmental space for children, adolescents, and adults to explore their experiences and challenges.
